Neufeld v. CIGNA Health and Life Insurance Company, No. 3:17-cv-1693 (D. Conn. 2017)

On October 6, 2017, Plaintiff filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut on behalf of a nationwide class alleging that Defendants Cigna Health and Life Insurance Company and Crecentrix, Inc. engaged in a fraudulent and deceptive scheme to artificially inflate the price of medically necessary products and services.  The eleven-count complaint alleges that Defendants’ actions violated both the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (“ERISA”) and the Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (“RICO”).
