Singer v. The Priceline Group, Inc.

Singer v. The Priceline Group, Inc.

Plaintiff brought suit against Priceline on behalf of himself and all others similarly situated, alleging that Priceline’s “Name Your Own Price” hotel booking service misleads consumers.  Although consumers are informed that if Priceline accepts their bid amount, they will be provided with a hotel stay for that amount, plus certain specified fees and taxes, Priceline fails to disclose that at certain resort destinations, consumers will be charged an additional “resort fee” by the hotel at the time that they check in.  The Complaint was filed in U.S. District Court in Connecticut.  The Court granted Defendant’s Motion to Dismiss the case on July 22, 2016.
